Is a Ceramic Coating Right For You?

At Shoreline Auto Spa, we’re not here to sell you something you don’t need—we’re here to help you love your car. We’ll always be honest about what’s best for you and your vehicle.

So, how do you know if a ceramic coating is the right choice?

If you love the look and feel of glossy, smooth paint, a ceramic coating will take your car’s appearance to the next level. It also helps protect your investment, keeping your vehicle looking newer for longer by shielding it from harsh UV rays, industrial fallout, brake dust, and other harmful contaminants.

But let’s be real—if you’re not too concerned about your car’s paint, a ceramic coating might not be worth it for you. In that case, a full detail might be the better option to give your car a refresh without the long-term commitment.

Ceramic Coated Paint

The most common place for a ceramic coating to be installed is the painted surface of a vehicle. In additiion to the protection, the nano-particles refract light, giving your vehicle a constant 'wet' and shined look.

Ceramic Coated Wheels

Ceramic coating isn’t just for paint—you can apply it to wheels too! This is especially beneficial for vehicles known for producing heavy brake dust, like Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, and Ferrari. Brake dust is a corrosive compound that, if left unchecked, can wreak havoc on your wheels. Luckily, thanks to its slick surface, ceramic coating is brake dust’s kryptonite—weakening its ability to stick and cause damage, making wheel maintenance easier than ever.

Ceramic Coated Calipers

Just like wheels, calipers are directly in the line of brake dust. The finer details, like your bright red calipers, matter too. Don’t let corrosive brake dust ruin their appearance—ceramic coating protects them, helping you tie up all the loose ends for a complete, polished look.

Paint Correction Before Coating

Paint with swirl marks (left side) needs to be corrected before applying a ceramic coating. This is achieved through paint correction (right side). Once the paint is corrected, we'll thoroughly prep your vehicle's surface and carefully apply the ceramic coating, providing years of protection.
